Water Board member drowns after falling into lake

According to authorities, Webster County resident Kenneth Ray Hammack, 67 of Providence, drowned in a lake next to his house on Wednesday night.


Hammack was on a dock in his lake on Luttontown Lisman Road when he fell into the water. Divers from the Henderson Fire Department recovered Hammack’s body around 10:15 p.m.

Webster County Deputy Coroner Todd Vanover responded to the death, which has been ruled accidental.

Hammack was currently a member of the Webster County Water District Board.
