Last week was a successful one for members of the WCHS Archery Team. The Trojans took home the overall win in the 4th Annual Trojan Classic held in Dixon on Saturday, and senior archer Briley Hearrin won her age group and finished 4th of all High School girls in the 2015 KY State NASP/International Bowhunting Organization (IBO) 3DTournament held in Henderson on Friday and Saturday.

Webster County junior Jonathan Stevens lead the way for the Torjans on their home turf, shooting a 290 with 10 bullseyes (or 10s in archery terms). Stevens was the top overall archer on the night.

Seventh grader Kolbi Alsbrooks was second overall, shooting a 285 with 18 10s.
Emily Jarrell, Kailee Alsbrook and Ava Rich rounded out the top ten in the overall scores for the night. Kailee Alsbrook was the top finisher among all eighth grade girls.

Senior Briley Hearrin won the High School Senior girls group with 275 and 14 10s, making her 12 of all girls shooting in the event. But the Trojan Classic wasn’t her only event of the weekend, she was also shooting in the 2015 KY State NASP/IBO 3DTournament in Henderson.

During the 3D shoot, Hearrin shot a 264 with six 10s, winning her age group and finishing 13 out of all 82 girls who shot in the tournament.
Hearrin was the only Trojan who took part in the 3D shoot.
