FIrst snow of the season in forecast

The latest forecast from the National Weather Service (NWS) is calling for the first snow of the season to hit the tri-state as early as Monday Night.
Mid week the NWS and other meteorological organziations had began reporting that an artic pressure system was making it’s way across Canada, and was expected to bring colder temperatures into the area late on Thursday. But that system developed faster than expected, and is now expected to move into Western Kentucky late on Veterans Day.
During the day on Monday it is expected to be sunny and in the lower sixties, but as the front moves in, NWS is predicting that temperatures will quickly plumet. Over night the temperature is expected to be in the lower thirties with a mix of rain and snow.
Be sure to watch the weather early in the week in case you have to adjust your travel times. If the weather causes any changes in the schedule of Webster County Schools, which is not expected at this time,
we’ll have that information right here.
