Webster County Middle School principal Geoff Bailey tendered his resignation to the Webster County School District earlier today.

Bailey assumed the principal’s position for the still incomplete middle school on July 1, 2013.  Since then he has worked to prepare the middle school’s curriculum and identify faculty members for the 2014-2015 school year.
Bailey has six years of experience as an elementary school  principal (three years at each Crofton Elementary and more recently Grapevine Elementary) and four years as assistant principal of Christian County High School.
Bailey’s resignation will be effective June 30, 2014. Interim Superintendant Pete Galloway said that the district will most likely begin looking for a replacement next week.
“Webster County is a great place to work with excellent students,” said Bailey. He will leave the district without ever working a day in the school he helped set up.
Webster County Middle School is scheduled to open in time for fall classes.
