Next week The Journal-Enterprise will launch a new supplement to the newspaper titled ‘Webster County Ag Families’. The new product will cover stories that concern today’s farming and agricultural community, which makes up a large percentage of the Webster County population.
“Our parent company, The Kentucky New Era, publishes Ag Families magazine in Hopkinsville,” said Matt Hughes, editor of The J-E and Health Beat magazine. “The J-E isn’t ready to take on a full blown magazine at this point, but we still wanted to offer something to our farm folks in Webster County. This product will be related to the magazine, but it will focus more on our local farm community.”
Webster County Ag Families is expected to be printed twice in 2015 (in June and September) with the plan to make it a quarterly publication in 2016.
The first edition of WC Ag Families will take a look at the role modern women play in agriculture.
