A two vehicle accident in Providence left one man hospitalized on Monday and temporarily blocked West Main.
According to the police report, William Pullam, 80 of Providence, was traveling west bound on West Main in a 1995 Nissan pickup at approximately 10:11 a.m. when a 2005 Chevy Cavalier driven by Derek D. Sigers, 21 of Providence attempted to make a left turn off of Gulf Street.
Sigers stated that he did not see Pullam until it was too late.
Pullam was transported to Baptist Regional Medical Center in Madisonville for treatment.
Police Cheif Brent McDowell responded, along with Providence Fire and Rescue and public works employees.
