KYTC to begin road work on US 41A and Highway 2087 on Thursday

Project could last up to 4 weeks
A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans base repairs and asphalt paving along sections of US 41-Alternate and KY 2087 in Webster County starting Thursday, August 14, 2014.

The work zone along US 41-Alternate runs from the intersection with Vanderburg-Lisman Road and Lisman-Mount Myra Road at mile point 6.880 and extends northward through Dixon to mile point 10.080 near the intersection with Marion Towne Road.
The work zone along KY 2087/Clayton Avenue in Dixon runs from the KY 132 intersection at mile point 0.0 and extends northward to mile point 0.534 at the US 41-A intersection.
The contractor will start with intermittent lane restrictions for base repairs over 4 or 5 days.  Traffic will then be allowed to run on the repaired areas for about a week to allow them to settle.  The contractor will then return for asphalt paving along these sections of US 41-Alternate and KY 2087.
Road Builders is the prime contractor on this $559,910 highway improvement project.  The work should be completed in 3 to 4 weeks, weather permitting.
