Judge Executive Jim Townsend confirmed on Friday that Webster County EMS will eventually have a new home on U.S. 41A south of Dixon.
The Webster County Ambulance Board recently approved the purchase of the former Phillips Autobody property just south of Dixon for $110,000. The building offers several additional garage bays for the four ambulances and one pickup truck used by the Ambulance Service.
The board has been working with a contractor to develop renovation plans that would include the addition of sleeping quarters for the staff. Those plans will likely be discussed on Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. when the Ambulance Board holds it’s quarterly meeting.
