I-69/WK exit at Dawson Springs to close on Monday, Oct. 28

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to CLOSE the Interstate 69 northbound exit and entry ramps at the Dawson Springs KY 109 Exit 92 Interchange in Hopkins County starting Monday, October 28, 2013.
This closure of northbound ramps is to allow construction of ramp connections for the new I-69/KY 109 Interchange configuration.
The northbound ramps are expected to be closed for approximately 7 days for this work. During that time traffic from the Dawson Springs area will have to detour east on US 62 to Nortonville to travel northbound. Northbound I-69 traffic traveling to Dawson Springs will be required to travel US 62 eastward from Princeton. There will be no northbound access to or from Interstate 69 at Dawson Springs during this ramp work.
This closure date is tentative, pending weather and other factors. It is part of a reconstruction of the I-69 Dawson Springs KY 109 Exit 92 Interchange to bring it up to current Interstate standards.
